Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dallas Payton. Things that are important to me are my faith, family, friends, helping others, and my hobbies. I have varied hobbies, but I most enjoy the outdoors, wood working and some welding. I love new challenges and trying to make something new, or in a different way with my own style.

I am a husband and father to two wonderful kids, and to a very impulsive dog and a lazy cat. They really are a pair! I also have a very unique sense of humor. I was once told I am funny about 25% of the time. I think it is more than that!

As for my professional credentials: I completed my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2004 at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), don’t let the name scare you, it really was an awesome place to learn and grow. AGTS is in Springfield Missouri. I started my career as a therapist in Missouri, starting in a private practice, working with kids, adults and couples, and then worked with high risk youth, or teens in a residential facility prior to moving to my native home, southwest Idaho. I continued working with high risk youth or teens in a group home, and later worked in the community providing counseling services to adolescents such as individual counseling, and family counseling. I later transitioned to working for a state agency serving youth, adolescents, young adults, and teaching topics to our staff on topics such as suicide prevention, and mental health.

That brings me to my latest step in a great journey, which was to launch my own private practice, Payton Counseling Services, LLC in Caldwell Idaho.
